We photograph weddings in Nepal, and have done since 2014. Hindu and Newar ceremonies, court registrations, receptions in hotel ballrooms and in the family courtyard.
There are two rooms and one team. Nobody is sent out under our name who has not shot with us for a season first, and the phone is answered at any hour, which matters more than it sounds when the baraat is running late and the light is going.

Photographs and film, of the whole wedding.
Most couples book us for the ceremony and the reception, and add the pre-wedding shoot once they see how much of the day disappears into the schedule. We shoot both stills and video with the same team, which is the only way the two end up telling one story rather than two.
We do not pose people through the ritual. If the priest is talking, the priest is talking. The portraits happen in the twenty minutes we ask for before the reception, and that is the only part of the day we run.

- 2014
Two of us, one camera body and a borrowed 50mm, photographing a neighbour’s mehendi in Butwal for petrol money. We were not a studio yet. We just did not give the camera back.
- 2017
A second room in Kathmandu, at Kamalpokhari, because half our bookings were already in the Valley and we were tired of the night bus. Newar ceremonies taught us most of what we know about photographing ritual.
- 2020
Weddings stopped for a season. We spent it learning to edit properly, and came back treating the film as seriously as the stills instead of as something a cousin handles.
- 2023
The first weddings outside Nepal: India, Bali, Dubai, Sri Lanka. Same two-photographer approach, heavier bags, more forms at customs.
- Today
Two studios, 850+ weddings behind us and coverage anywhere in the country. Small enough that the person who answers the phone is usually the person who will be at your wedding.

From the first call to the last delivery.
We meet first
A call, or tea at the studio if you are nearby. Half an hour is usually enough for both sides to know whether we are the right people for your wedding.
You get a written quote
Team size, hours of coverage and exactly what arrives at the end, on one page. Collections start at NPR 75,000. A 30% retainer holds the date.
We do the homework
We call the venue, walk it when it is close enough to walk, and sit with your family to agree the timeline. Who does the kanyadaan, which uncle must be in the group photo, when the light goes.
The day itself
The team is set by the package: 1 professional photographer on Bronze, 2 professional photographers on Silver, 2 photographers and 1 cinematographer on Gold and 3 photographers and 2 cinematographers on Platinum. We stay out of the aisle and off the mandap.
Then the long part
A preview within 48 hours, the edited gallery within 2 to 4 weeks and the wedding film within 4 to 6 weeks. Every photograph is graded by hand, and the album follows once you have chosen your favourites.

Opened in 2017 for Valley weddings: Newar ceremonies, heritage venues around the Durbar Squares, hotel receptions. It also puts us an hour from Nagarkot and Dhulikhel.

Dates for Mangsir and Magh go early.
Those months fill six to nine months ahead; the rest of the year three or four is comfortable. Tell us the date and the venue and we will tell you straight away whether we are free.
