Post-Wedding Photoshoot in Nepal
A relaxed couple session after the wedding, for the portraits there was no time for during the rituals. A two-hour session starts at NPR 25,000, and Platinum includes one. Most couples hold it within the first weeks, in the wedding outfits, or on the honeymoon.

Couple portraits from our shoots.
Why couples book a post-wedding shoot
Different from a pre-wedding photoshoot, which is held two to four months before the wedding for the invitations.
No ritual clock
On the wedding day the photos fit around the priest, the guests and the muhurat. A post-wedding shoot has only one job: the two of you.
Wear the wedding look again
The sari or lehenga, the sherwani or daura suruwal, the jewellery, often with sindoor and pote: photographed slowly, in good light, without a crowd.
Relaxed, after the hard part
Couples are calmer after the wedding, and it shows. It also suits couples who had no time for a pre-wedding shoot.
Post-wedding photoshoot prices
From the published price list. There is no travel charge in Butwal, Tilottama, Bhairahawa or the Kathmandu Valley; travel and any stay anywhere else are quoted as their own line before you book.

Where to hold a post-wedding shoot in Nepal
Heritage squares charge entry and can set rules for professional shoots; we check them when we plan. More places: the best photoshoot locations in Nepal.
Kathmandu Valley heritage
- Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares
- Courtyards and carved windows
- Early morning, before the crowds
Gardens and hotels
- Garden of Dreams, Kathmandu
- Hotel and resort gardens
- Good in the middle of the day
Lakes and mountains
- Phewa Lake and Sarangkot, Pokhara
- Nagarkot and Dhulikhel at sunrise
- Clearest in October and November
Planning the shoot
- Light: the first or last two hours of daylight. Mountain views are clearest in October and November; the monsoon, June to September, hides the peaks.
- Outfits: one from the wedding and one change. Bring the jewellery and the shoes; a helper for the pleats and the dupatta saves time.
- Places: one or two close together. Two hours goes quickly when half of it is spent on the road.
- Photos: a preview within 48 hours, then the edited gallery within 2 to 4 weeks.
Post-wedding photoshoot: questions couples ask
What is a post-wedding photoshoot?+
A couple photo session held after the wedding, usually in the wedding outfits or a second traditional outfit, at a place you choose. It gives you the relaxed portraits there was no time for between the rituals.
How much does a post-wedding photoshoot cost?+
With us, a two-hour post-wedding session starts at NPR 25,000, the same as a pre-wedding session, and Platinum includes one. A longer shoot, several places or travel outside our home areas is quoted in writing first. There is no travel charge in Butwal, Tilottama, Bhairahawa or the Kathmandu Valley; travel and any stay anywhere else are quoted as their own line before you book.
What is the difference between a pre-wedding and a post-wedding shoot?+
A pre-wedding shoot happens two to four months before the wedding, so the photos can go on invitations and the reception screen. A post-wedding shoot happens after it, often in the wedding outfits and with sindoor and pote. Both are two-hour couple sessions from NPR 25,000.
When should we do the post-wedding shoot?+
Within the first few weeks, while the mehendi and the wedding look are fresh, or on the honeymoon. Book the first or last two hours of daylight; for mountain views, October and November are the clearest months.
What should we wear?+
One outfit from the wedding, and one change: a second traditional outfit, or something you wear every day. Bring the jewellery and the shoes, and pick colours that stand out against the place, such as red or gold in a green garden.
When will we get the photos?+
A preview within 48 hours, then the edited gallery within 2 to 4 weeks, in an online gallery you can download from.
