Not every event worth photographing is a wedding. Pasni, Bratabandha, Nwaran, birthdays, anniversaries and family receptions all share the same problem: they happen once, they move fast, and the rituals do not pause while someone finds a camera.
We cover these with the same team and equipment we bring to weddings. That matters most for the ceremonies — a photographer who does not know the order of a Bratabandha will miss the moment the head is shaved, and there is no second take.
Prices below are what you pay — there is no separate sitting fee, editing fee or gallery fee. Travel outside Kathmandu and Butwal is quoted before you book.

Ceremony dates are usually set by the family priest and are not negotiable, which makes early booking more important than for events you schedule yourself.

For any ceremony we ask for the schedule and, where possible, a word with whoever is conducting it. Rituals run on their own timing rather than the printed programme, and knowing what follows what is the whole job.
Most of these events happen indoors or under a tent — party palaces, banquet halls, courtyards, home terraces. We bring continuous lighting to all of them. Relying on venue lighting is the single most common reason event photographs come back yellow, dim and grainy.
Four hours as standard: preparation, the ritual or main moment in sequence, family group portraits, and candid coverage of guests, food and décor. We work quietly and do not stage-manage the ceremony to suit the camera.
A preview within 7 days and 150+ edited high-resolution images in a private online gallery within 2–4 weeks, with full print rights for personal use.
Almost all of it is decided before the day, in decisions that have nothing to do with cameras.
The photographs families most regret missing are of grandparents and elderly relatives, who often leave early and are rarely at the centre of the action. Give us names, or point them out on arrival, and we will make sure the frames exist.
The rice-feeding in a Pasni, the head-shaving in a Bratabandha, the first blessing — each happens once, in seconds, usually with a crowd in the way. We position for these in advance, which requires knowing the running order. It is why we ask.
Halls across Kathmandu and Butwal typically mix warm tungsten, green-tinted fluorescent and coloured LED wash. Your eyes correct for it; a sensor does not. Bringing our own light source is not a luxury add-on here — it is the reason the images look like the evening you remember.
Events in Nepal routinely start late and run long. If your guest list is over 150, or the ritual is scheduled near the end of the evening, add hours at booking rather than mid-event — extending on the day is possible but the pricing is less favourable and we may have another commitment.
Adding cinematography after the event has started is not possible; the team size is fixed when we arrive. Wedding videography add-on rates apply to events too. If you want a film of a Bratabandha or a first birthday, say so at booking.

From NPR 20,000 for four hours with one photographer and 150+ edited images, with the ritual sequence documented in order. Additional hours are NPR 3,000–5,000 and a second photographer can be added for large gatherings — worth it above roughly 150 guests.
Yes. We have photographed Pasni, Bratabandha and Nwaran ceremonies across Hindu, Newar and other Nepali traditions since 2014, and we still ask each family for their specific running order — practice varies between communities and between families, and assuming otherwise is how photographers miss the key moment.
Yes. We bring a continuous lighting kit to every indoor and evening event rather than depending on venue lighting. Party palace and banquet hall lighting mixes colour temperatures badly, and correcting it at the source is the only real fix.
Yes, but it must be arranged at booking — the team size is set before we arrive and cannot be increased on the day. Videography starts at NPR 25,000 as an add-on.
Yes, anywhere in Nepal. Travel outside our home districts is charged at NPR 5,000–15,000 depending on distance, quoted before you book.
