Every service we offer and what it costs, on one page. No “contact us for pricing”, no quote-only tiers, no fees that appear later. Prices are in Nepali rupees and apply nationwide from our Kathmandu and Butwal studios.

How to choose a package without overpaying
Count your hours before you count your rupees
Most couples who regret a package chose one that ended before the reception did. Map your day from getting ready to the last ritual, add an hour, and then pick the tier that covers it. Extra hours bought on the day cost more than the tier that would have covered them.
Two photographers matters more than more equipment
At a wedding above roughly 150 guests, a single photographer physically cannot be at the bride's preparation and the groom's arrival simultaneously. That is the point at which a second shooter stops being a luxury. Below that, spend the money on coverage hours instead.
Decide about video at booking, never later
Cinematography cannot be added once the event has begun — the crew is sized before we leave the studio. If a film matters to you at all, add it at booking, where it costs NPR 25,000, rather than discovering on the day that it is impossible.
Bundle the sessions that share a deadline
Maternity and newborn are the clearest example: the newborn window is 5–14 days after birth and cannot be rescheduled, so families who book it separately after the birth frequently miss it entirely. Booking both together costs the same and removes the risk.
Pricing questions
How much does a photographer cost in Nepal?+
It depends entirely on the service. At Wedding Story Nepal, portrait sessions start at NPR 8,000 for a baby milestone shoot, maternity at NPR 12,000, engagement and pre-wedding at NPR 15,000, event coverage at NPR 20,000, and full wedding packages at NPR 25,000. Wedding coverage scales to NPR 200,000 and above for multi-day and destination productions with a full crew.
Are these prices final, or are there hidden fees?+
The listed price includes the session, the editing and the online gallery — there is no separate sitting fee, editing charge or download fee. The two things that can add to a quote are travel outside our home districts (NPR 5,000–15,000 depending on distance) and any extra hours or add-ons you choose. Both are quoted in writing before you book.
Do you offer payment plans?+
Yes. A 30% retainer holds your date, with the balance split across the months before the event and the final delivery. We accept cash, bank transfer, eSewa and Khalti.
Why is there such a wide range in wedding package pricing?+
Team size and days. An NPR 25,000 package is one photographer for six hours. An NPR 200,000 package is three photographers plus two cinematographers across multiple days, with a full film, multiple albums and pre- and post-wedding shoots. You are paying for people and time more than for equipment.
Can I combine services for a better price?+
Yes, and it is usually the cheapest route. Maternity plus newborn is the most common pairing, and booking both at once means you also secure the newborn slot inside its 5–14 day window. An engagement session fee is credited in full toward a wedding booking made within six months.
How much does travel outside Kathmandu or Butwal cost?+
NPR 5,000–15,000 depending on distance, quoted before you book. We have studios in both Kathmandu and Butwal, so for much of the country one of the two is already local.
When do we pay, and when do we get our photos?+
A 30% retainer at booking. After the shoot you get a preview within 7 days, the full edited gallery in 2-4 weeks, and any film in 4-6 weeks.
